Session 24, Period 1[editar | editar código]
Initial Phase[editar | editar código]
Encourage your students to read a brief article about free time and leisure activities.
Check that students understand the term “free time” from the paragraph.
Intermediate Phase[editar | editar código]
Students will check the illustrations and do activity 24.1.
Check that students are working in pairs and answering the questions presented to them.
Wrap up[editar | editar código]
Each student will tell the whole class about one person and their leisure time activities.
Session 24, Period 2[editar | editar código]
Initial Phase[editar | editar código]
Tell your class that you will continue talking about leisure time and weekends. Ask them to compare two hobbies as presented in activity d.
Verify that students are expressing their preferences for activities using comparisons.
Intermediate Phase[editar | editar código]
Students will check the illustrations and do activity 24.1.
Verify that students are reading the cards without supporting themselves on translation to Spanish.

Session 24, Period 3[editar | editar código]
Initial Phase[editar | editar código]
With the whole group go over the structures used to talk about free time.
Remind your class of the importance of learning well how to talk about weekend activities.
Intermediate Phase[editar | editar código]
Students will follow the instructions in and complete activity 24.3 in the student's workbook.
Make sure students write a paragraph 5 to 6 sentences long describing the things they like to do in their free time.
Wrap up[editar | editar código]
Ask students to hand their writing in to you.
